We get asked a lot about singing lessons!
Research and early childhood development experts don't recommend intensive training techniques for children under the age of 12, since their vocal cords are still developing and strenuous intense techniques can cause damage to developing cords. Our students benefit from healthy, age appropriate voice instruction with an emphasis on healthy vocal habits, basic music skills, and the exploration of their natural singing voice. For more intensive vocal training, experts recommend waiting until a child reaches puberty or their mid-teens, as their vocal cords and surrounding structures will be more developed. We incorporate singing in ALL our music lessons and classes, focusing on age appropriate vocal activities.
